Ladock film hopes to inspire other low carbon communities

The mid Cornwall parish of Ladock is hoping that a film about their experiences of becoming one of the UK’s first low carbon communities will inspire other local projects to embrace low carbon living. Energy savings add up at Ladock School

Ladock Church of England School are reaping the benefits of going green by cutting their electricity bill in half through their involvement in the Low Carbon Living Ladock and Grampound Road Project. The school has saved over £1,000 on their last quarter’s electricity bill thanks to a new ground source heat pump which is distributing heat from the ground to the radiators in the main school buildings. Consultation services available for wind and solar developments in Cornwall

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) announced on the 18th November 2013 that any development of more than two turbines, or any single turbine over 15m high, will now need to undergo a pre-application consultation with the local community. Cornish communities in £1 million bid to live more sustainably

Funding success for nine Cornish local energy projects
