Important: EPC Lodgement Time Limit

If you'd like the original EPC to be officially lodged, any changes or upgrades must be made within 6 months of the original EPC survey. After this 6-month window, a new EPC will need to be completed and charged for - this is a strict requirement set by accreditation bodies and cannot be overridden.

Once your recommendations report is complete, we can also provide implementation consulting services to help you implement the required improvements. This is offered as an optional add-on service, priced at a flat fee of £50. Clear, upfront, and designed for landlords.

To carry out a thorough and accurate evaluation of your building’s energy use and efficiency, we’ll need access to several key areas and documents. Here's what you need to know:

Access Requirements

To ensure the survey is as comprehensive as possible, please ensure we have access to:

  • All rooms in the property
  • The property’s electricity and gas meters
  • Boilers, water tanks, and heating systems
  • Loft space (if accessible) to assess insulation and basement spaces (if applicable).

An EPC survey typically takes 90 minutes, dependent on the size of the property.

Once the survey is complete, you'll receive a detailed report outlining:

  • Key findings on your property’s current energy performance
  • Recommendations for efficiency improvements, cost savings and carbon reduction
  • Next steps, including options for monitoring energy consumption, upgrades, and renewable energy options, where feasible.
