Further help for householders

Kernow Gateway

Kernow Gateway is a voluntary sector collaboration, hosted by Age UK Cornwall and is a dedicated service available for everyone and provides access to a wide range of professional voluntary sector support. Open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including Christmas Day.

Launched to provide access to a range of voluntary sector support, Cornwall’s charities and community groups have combined forces to support people through Kernow Gateway, which is made up of more than 50 voluntary organisations, working with NHS Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board to offer ongoing support to communities across the Duchy.

Kernow Gateway provides a ‘gateway to independence’, where trained, professional staff work with people to identify their needs and put appropriate packages of support in place. Aiming to create personalised plans that prevent hospital admissions, reduce social isolation, and improve wellbeing, Kernow Gateway also connects people to mental health support, community activities and wider winter support, including hot food and warm spaces.

Kernow Gateway can be accessed via a dedicated phone line: 01872 266383 and email address: welcome@kernowgateway.org.uk
