Great British Energy Community Fund
Bring your projects and ideas to life with funding from the Great British Energy Community Fund! We can now help community organisations apply for this funding – and support you in delivering the work included in your bid.
Previously known as the Community Energy Fund, the Great British Energy Community Fund aims to help generate energy closer to where it is used and which local people benefit from. The fund is available to:
- community energy groups
- town and parish councils
- community organisations
- sports teams
- charities
- faith groups
There are two stages of funding:
- Stage 1 funding offers up to £40,000 to assess initial technical and financial feasibility of a project.
- Stage 2 funding offers up to £100,000 to make viable projects ready for investment and construction.
Have a project or idea you’re thinking about and want to see if it’s a fit for Stage 1 or Stage 2 funding? Just reach out to James Miller, our Low Carbon Technical Officer and we can set up a quick call to chat and talk about the next steps.
The deadline for the current round of funding is 7 July, but more rounds of funding are expected later in the year.
